The following is the monthly media report issued by the Jefferson Township Police Department, which recaps the activity for December 2020.
The Jefferson Arts Committee (JAC) would like to thank all those who participated in its first virtual Gingerbread House Contest. For many years, the contest was held each year in conjunction with the JAC’s annual Christmas in the Village event; and the creations were on display at the Milton United Methodist Church.
Acting Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Acting Chief of Investigations Christoph Kimker, and Jefferson Township Chief of Police Paul Castimore announce the implementation of a joint Driving While Intoxicated checkpoint in Jefferson Township, New Jersey on the weekend of November 21 and November 22.
The celebration of the upcoming holiday season will indeed be a unique one this year. Like so many other events being canceled due to the current Covid-19 restrictions in place, the 15th annual Christmas in the Village (CIV) celebration in the Village of Milton area of Jefferson Township has been canceled. However, the annual Gingerbread House contest sponsored by the Jefferson Arts Committee (JAC) will be held virtually this year.
