Today the Borough of Hopatcong recognizes Aaron Mood for completing his Eagle Scout award in the repairs and fencing in Squire Park. During the process he created GoFundMe site to establish funds to replace, refurbish, and repaint the wooden fence at Squire field. The remainder of the money was donated to a local town organizations.

This small army of 26 Scouts and 13 leaders we call Hopatcong Pack 88 can always be seen working across the town on Trash Clean-up, Planting Trees and Flowers, and assisting in Community Events. And now they are expanding their successful Lawn Flag program into a yearlong event.

It is with great honor that Hopatcong will honor and remember two Hopatcong Brothers that give their lives during World War II, during the banner program for this year’s unveiling on Memorial Day Weekend. And they need your assistance in helping to remember and pay the proper respects during the important town ceremony.
