What started as a brilliant idea on how to ensure the show must go on this year by creating an open-air production on the football field has been dashed by mother nature and the likely chance of rain.
The good news is that failure is not an option for this die-hard team for teachers and students, who will be spending Memorial Day building the new indoor set in the auditorium. Following that, the sound will be integrated on Tuesday, just for the final dress rehearsal on Wednesday.
The production under the leadership of teacher Michael Batche (Advisor/Producer), Kerri Batche (Stage Director), and Kurt Zimmerman Music Director (Pit Orchestra and vocals) decided on Sunday night, to move indoors to make sure they can get all of the productions off on time without worrying what mother nature had in store for the show.
“I couldn’t be more proud of these kids, we’ve already worked them to the near point of exhaustion in building the outdoor stage, and now they are eagerly jumping in and giving up their holiday weekend to move everything indoors.” Stated Michael Batche.
For the indoor performance have certain requirements will apply:
- Masks are required for all performances. Actors will wear masks backstage, but not for the performance.
- Thursday’s June 3rd performance is limited to 200 people (Restriction lifted on Friday).
- Social Distancing in the Audience is not required.
