Through an international network of Affiliates, I Support the Girls collects and distributes essential items, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products, allowing women and girls experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress to stand tall with dignity.
A big shout out to our Domestic Abuse Committee Chair, Pat Beach, who also happens to be our Club President! She is hard at work collecting much-needed items from both our club members and the general public. While the above-mentioned items go to I Support the Girls, other items, like larger toiletries and certain clothing items are taken to DASI (Domestic Abuse and Sexual Intervention) in Andover, and other items (like new men’s and women’s socks) support our veterans at the Lyons Vet Center.
We accept donations from the public at the Community Wellness Center in Hopatchung Shopping Center. To recap all donations we are accepting: any type of feminine hygiene product (open boxes of feminine hygiene products can be donated if the contents of the box are individually wrapped), new and gently-used bras, new underwear, new socks, small and large toiletry items and small cosmetic bags. Anything you can donate to help us with our own mission of helping others is truly appreciated.
The Hopatcong Woman’s Club meets on the third Wednesday of each month (next meeting being an exception, Wednesday, May 26th due to scheduling issues) at the Elba Point Beach Club building located at 30 Ithanell Rd, Hopatcong, at 10:30am. More About "I Support the Girls"
Our Mission: Through an international network of Affiliates, I Support the Girls collects and distributes essential items, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products, allowing women and folx experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress to stand tall with dignity.
A woman shouldn’t have to choose between feeding herself and her personal health. Every woman should have the ability to maintain her dignity.
Around the globe we're helping girls and women experiencing homelessness, victims of domestic violence, victims of sex trafficking, refugees and evacuees affected by natural disasters. Here's how we're restoring dignity to hundreds of thousands of women.
