Local Businesses can learn about Important digital marketing trends

Florham Park N.J. – Jan. 7, 2021 – Businesses will be able to learn about the latest digital trends at the 2021 DigiCON Awards event being hosted virtually by the Morris County Chamber of Commerce Friday, Jan. 22, 10 a.m. to noon. A panel of local digital marketing experts will discuss, “Global Marketing Trends: Navigating the New Normal.”

“Effective online and digital marketing has become essential for companies to thrive in the age of Covid-19, and we expect that to continue going forward, as the way we all do business has changed,” said Meghan Hunscher, chamber president. “Attendees will hear from a panel of digital marketing experts who will share their knowledge about the latest trends that can help businesses better market themselves in this new environment. Their competitors are leveraging these new trends and so should they.”

The panel discussion will feature Kat Gates, creative director and effectiveness lead at Google; Samir Mistry, group product manager at Visible, a Verizon company; Rob Schnapp, senior vice president and executive creative director at Coyne PR; and Randy Stodard, chief marketing officer and vice president at Delta Dental of New Jersey.

Kat Gates, Creative Director and Creative Effectiveness Lead at Google uses the power of data, insights, technology and a keen understanding of culture to drive big ideas and help solve creative marketing challenges. Kat started in the agency world where she led big ideas and won some big awards for brands like Pampers, Always and Iams. She left the agency world to go to Facebook and then Viacom where she did deep dives in social media and influencer marketing. In her spare time, Kat is a YouTube creator and has two fast growing channels: Kat Gates-Buettner (fitness channel) and Synthesis Musical Pairings. 

Samir Mistry is driven to develop, implement, and grow digital strategies that build, promote, and strengthen brands and improve customer experience - his skill-set helps bridge the gap between marketing, technology and overall business strategy. Over the past 15 years, Samir has had various digital strategy, digital marketing, eCommerce and technology roles at Visible, Verizon, Wyndham Hotels, Johnson & Johnson and Prudential.  Samir is currently a Group Product Manager for Visible (a Verizon company) and is responsible for their digital / eCommerce experiences, growth and sales performance. Visible is the first all-digital wireless carrier in the US providing Unlimited data, text, talk and hotspot, on Verizon's 4G LTE network. When he isn’t glued to a computer screen, he spends time with his family, exercising, and trying very hard to learn another language. Rob Schnapp heads up advertising and creative at Coyne PR producing work in all media including TV, radio, video, digital and print for a wide array of clients that has included Entenmann’s, The NFL Players Association, In The Raw, and Bayer. His prior agency background includes Y&R, Ogilvy, as well as Nickelodeon. At Y&R, Rob’s EFFIE Award-winning “Could’ve Had a V8” campaign sent sales into double-digit growth for 32 straight weeks. He also co-created “The Snack That Smiles Back” for Pepperidge Farm Goldfish. Rob is a Syracuse University alum, serves on the Telly Awards Silver Council and is past president of the NJ Ad Club. His work has been featured in AdAge, Adweek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, numerous award shows, his mom’s fridge, and he’s even made a Super Bowl commercial.

Randy Stodard joined Delta Dental of New Jersey in 2015 as Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President. Throughout a broad and diverse professional career, he has successfully led global sales, marketing, and business development/new product teams at several blue-chip companies, including—most recently—Walgreens, as well as Abbott, Pfizer, and Reckitt-Benckiser. Randy has been heavily involved with innovation and launched many successful new products during his career. His efforts have been rewarded with multiple awards for best in class advertising, marketing campaigns, and new products. In his role as Chief Marketing Officer, Randy is responsible for developing creative and impactful marketing strategies that effectively reach both current and emerging markets.
