Jefferson Gazebo Concert: Carnaby Street - Music from the British Invasion
Featuring music from the British Invasion along with various American artists, CARNABY ST. breathes new life into the songs that are fondly remembered as the cornerstones for popular music’s favorite era.
The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Moody Blues, The Who, The Dave Clark Five, The Bee Gees, The Hollies to Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, The Monkees, The Byrds and One-hit-Wonders of the time.
CARNABY ST. has performed with well recognized acts like The Moody Blues, Rod Stewart, The Kinks, The Temptations, The Grass Roots, Gary Puckett and The Monkees.
The Jefferson Arts Committee’s free summer gazebo concerts are back for 2021. They will take place throughout the summer on Friday evenings at the beautiful Victorian gazebo in the municipal complex (1033 Weldon Road, Oak Ridge). All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and go for two hours, usually with a short intermission.
Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort. Non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds. All trash must be taken home upon departure. Social distancing is encouraged.
In the event of or threat of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Jefferson Township High School Auditorium, 1010 Weldon Road (.1 mile away). If you are not vaccinated, the Board of Education’s recommendation is that you wear a face mask.
