River Styx Recommendation not expected until December

Based upon the September 6, 2016 public meeting, the Land Use Boards next step was to provide their recommendation to the Borough Council.

In speaking to Councilman Michael Francis over the weekend, he expects that this matter will not be heard by the Borough Council until December. This helps clear up the speculation offered by the New Jersey Herald that it could be as soon as this week.

Also, the New Jersey Herald posted a good article on “Could tax abatements help revitalize Hopatcong's River Styx area?” That was well researched and worth reading.
