ROXBURY, NJ (December 9, 2020) – Franklin Elementary School in Roxbury Township received an unexpected donation this afternoon of 180 student supply kits from the local Staples store in Succasunna. Each care package included a pack of Crayola colored pencils, a pack of Crayola crayons, a Staples 2-pocket folder, a 2 oz. hand sanitizer, and a 3-pack of pink erasers, valued at approximately $5 a care package.

Scott Maurer, the Staples Store Manager made the delivery Wednesday afternoon and shared that his store receives at least 1-2 bags worth of donations a day and that Staples will be collecting for at least another two weeks. Individuals can make a donation at the store as they are checking out.

This isn’t the first donation for Franklin School from Staples of Succasunna. Earlier this year, they received another donation of student supply kits as the new school year kicked off.

Franklin Principal Lisa Ferrare and Business Administrator Joe Mondanaro were there to accept the donations on behalf of Franklin School from Maurer.

“This donation is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use,” shared Ferrare.
