ROXBURY, NJ (September 18, 2019) – Roxbury High School’s yearbook design team once again shines. Its 2018/2019 Echo Yearbook publication, “In Our Hearts, On Our Sleeves”, was recently awarded first place with the gold medalist award for the Garden State Scholastic Press Association annual yearbook contest.

Students involved in the creation of the 2018/2019 book included Caitlin Crowley, Shane Cummis, Joe Eible, Anne Gede, Dana Gesregan, Maxwell Green, Madisyn Keith, Amelia Letchford, Antoinette Melillo, Ashley Miller, Michael Noonan, Katie Smith, Tony Sutton, Mat Talmadge, and Kelsey Young.

Students involved in the production of the 2019/2020 yearbook will have an opportunity to enhance their skills in editorial design, view other award-winning yearbooks, as well as attend a comprehensive list of workshops at the upcoming GSSPA conference in October at Rutgers University.

GSSPA holds three contests annually which include the Print Newspaper Contest, Online Publication Contest, and the Yearbook Contest. These contests are judged by professional journalists, professors, and experienced advisers who also provide critiques.
