ROXBURY, NJ (December 21, 2018) – First graders at Jefferson Elementary School in Roxbury Township held their annual Giving Tree project during the month of December.
The students collected hats, gloves, scarves, and socks school-wide to donate to Roxbury Social Services.
Brittany Tiger, first-grade teacher shared, “This is such as great program to do with our students each year. The students love to do something for our community and be a part of something so special.”
When donations were brought in, students could add their names to the bulletin board in the school hallway.
“I brought in a hat and some gloves and added my name to our tree. We collected lots of hats and gloves and now people who need them can get them.” Explained first grader Taryn Jarvis.
Jefferson School is excited to donate such generous gifts this year!
