Two preschool teachers at Jefferson Elementary School in Roxbury Township are using STEM to encourage language development, investigation skills, social skills, and a love of learning.

“It’s never too early to start STEM! It is an educational program developed to prepare primary and secondary students for college and graduate study in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In addition to subject-specific learning, STEM aims to foster inquiring minds, logical reasoning, and collaboration skills,” shared Jefferson School Preschool Teachers Rebecca Hutsebaut and Patti Klein.

“Don’t tell these three and four-year-olds they are learning because they just think they are having fun”
