The new bridge in Landing NJ will cost $22 million with design phase being completed by 2019 and actual work starting in 2020.

The expansion of the bridge in Landing that connects with Lakeside Blvd. will include four-lanes (two in each direction) with enough room for bike lanes and pedestrian walkways. Work on the bridge project is expected to take up to 18 months to complete.

The project funded by the State is advised by the local Landing Gateway Committee that is ensuring that the bridge rework meets Historic guidelines for the Morris Canal and can handle projected traffic through 2038.

The Landing Gateway Committee has been working on the project for the last three-years as a means to help beautify the gateway into Lake Hopatcong and to replace the bridge that was deemed structurally deficient in 2013.
