The physical education staff from Roxbury Township Public Schools took part in a professional development opportunity given by Greg Zohovetz, Junior Golf and Player Development Director for the PGA on September 5th.

This training was brought to the district through a grant and the efforts of the Roxbury High School Head Golf Coach, Dave Monaco. The grant includes equipment for a golf unit for the seven Roxbury schools, staff training, and a visit from a PGA certified golf pro.

Roxbury’s Director of Athletics Stu Mason shared, “By introducing students to golf we are introducing them to a game they can play the rest of their lives and is a great way to stay healthy!”
