New Menu Launches September 24th featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients and more local beers on tap
RANDOLPH, NEW JERSEY – Restaurateurs and owners Dean Buttafuoco and Dizzy Alioski announced big changes to Mr. Crabby’s restaurant. The eatery now goes by the name Mr. Crabby’s Craft Kitchen & Bar and now offers a new gastropub-influenced lunch and dinner menu under the direction of executive chef and partner Eric LeVine. An award-winning “fire it up” chef, he brings a dynamic, innovative energy to the new dining experience that will focus on seasonal flavor, celebrating local breweries, and bold food/beverage pairings.
“The new name – Mr. Crabby’s Craft Kitchen & Bar – allows us to highlight the chef’s Gastropub skill set and offer bold new dishes that are sure to satisfy all palates,” said Dizzy Alioski, restaurateur and co-owner Mr. Crabby’s Craft Kitchen & Bar. “One thing will remain the same is our continued commitment to ensuring every guest who comes in for lunch or dinner is treated like family at Mr. Crabby’s.”
Under LeVine’s direction, the new menu will continue to feature dining favorites, including a raw bar selection, Crabby steam pots with crab legs and lobster, crab cakes, and fish tacos. New menu selections include vegetarian options like the roasted acorn squash with Brussel sprout, almonds, cranberries and corn puree, a shrimp burger with edamame slaw and lemon garlic aioli, and a short rib pappardelle. Diners will also continue to enjoy signature menu items from the brick oven, including freshly roasted octopus with chorizo, potatoes and ancho sauce, as well as, hand tossed pizzas, including a wild forest mushrooms and goat cheese pizza and buffalo chicken pizza.
In addition to the new menu changes, the restaurant itself has undergone interior modifications and has added additional seating banquets, a large commercial chef’s table for private dining, and an open kitchen area.
“With the new menu, design improvements and new chef, our goal is to focus on the overall dining experience with the best food/beverage pairings,” said Dean Buttafuoco, restaurateur and co-owner Mr. Crabby’s Craft Kitchen & Bar. “Our bar menu will also be stocked with 20 different beers on tap, with a quarter of the taps reserved to highlight local New Jersey breweries.”
An epicurean world legend, with nearly 40 years of culinary greatness, Chef Eric LeVine worked with celebrated chefs in France, Italy, and Japan. The James Beard Foundation recognized Chef LeVine for his contributions to the gastronomic culinary scene in the United States and nominated him for Outstanding Chef of The Year. He has also served as the host at the James Beard House in New York for the Great Regional Chefs of America Series for three consecutive years. The International Chef’s Association named Chef Levine, Creative Caterer of the Year and Chef of the Year. In 2011, Chef LeVine was awarded the Food Network’s “Chopped” champion.
“My food has always focused on three main philosophies – food integrity, creating dishes that are packed with explosive flavor combinations, and sourcing seasonal ingredients from local farms and hydroponic farms,” said Chef Eric LeVine, executive chef and partner, Mr. Crabby’s Craft Kitchen & Bar. “At Mr. Crabby’s our menu incorporates a bold Gastronomic culinary experience in a casual dining experience. I am looking forward to working with local breweries to create limited dining experiences.”
Diners can also opt to make private chef’s table dining reservations for a personalized culinary experience. The six-course menu will be hand selected by Chef Eric LeVine using seasonal ingredients and the latest gastro-inspired techniques to create a culinary journey fit for food aficionados and aspiring chefs. Wine/Beer pairings are available to accompany each course.
