Vendor registration is now open for Roxbury’s 4th Annual Home for the Holidays street festival scheduled for Saturday, December 1st.

It’s never too hot and humid to think “holidays”!

This family-friendly holiday street fair will run from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM along Main Street in Succasunna by the Roxbury Public Library.

Vendors are encouraged to register early for a discount.  Go to www.roxburynj.us/holidays for a vendor form.

New this year:  a contest for the most festive holiday-decorated/themed vendor booth.  Winner gets a free booth at next year’s event.

Stockton Carriage Tours will be there again offering families free carriage rides with jingle-belled horses – sponsored by Roxbury Chamber of Commerce and Roxbury Rotary Club.

Also new this year an indication of the growing popularity of this fun family festival:  Santa Land is being extended by an hour.  It will run from 1 PM to 4 PM inside the Roxbury Public Library, where families can meet Santa, get photographed, do fun crafts and hear holiday book readings.

Musical entertainment, including a jazz band playing inside the Presbyterian Church, brass ensemble and strolling carolers from the high school honors choir, will add to the festivities.

The Wick-Hegarty School of Irish Dance will be there with their talented dancers jigging in the street.

You won’t go hungry at Home for the Holidays either.  Food trucks will be parked at the Methodist Church.  Both churches will also offer lots of homemade treats and hot drinks, so you can snack while you shop for holiday gifts.

Sign up now to participate or mark your calendar to attend with your family.  This will be a great way to kick off the holiday season on Main Street in Succasunna.
