Roxbury athletics shines again with another letter of intent signing on April 25th. Senior Anthony Perhacs surrounded by his family, coaches, and teammates committed to play NCAA Division I Lacrosse at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia this fall.
Perhacs joined the lacrosse team his freshman year and has been a part of the varsity team from beginning.
“He has grown to become a tremendous lacrosse player and has outstanding lacrosse IQ and stick skills to match,” described Lacrosse Coach Christopher Blough.
Adding, “The best part about Anthony is that he represents the program the right way. He’s a good student that is respected by his classmates and teachers. As a captain this year, Anthony embodies the core values that players in our program strive to live by. He’s disciplined, respectful, committed, he believes in his players and coaches, and is a positive teammate. We are very proud that Anthony will represent Roxbury Lacrosse at the Division I level. His hard work has paid off and we all wish him well at St. Joseph’s.”
Looking back on his playing in Roxbury, Perhacs shared “My experience playing lacrosse at Roxbury has been amazing. I have been blessed to have great coaches along with great leaders ahead of me to show me the way, Dave Biank, Eric D’Arminio, and Chris Snow, just to name a few. I would not trade my four years at Roxbury for anything.”
Perhacs chose St. Joseph’s due to its great business school and its location right outside Philadelphia.
“I am very excited for the next four years,” said Perhacs.
