Roxbury Student Corinne Rasmussen 2nd Place in “Hats Off For Helmets” Logo Contest

Art students in Nancy Valenta’s visual arts classes at Roxbury High School recently participated in the “Hats Off For Helmets” ski and snowboard contest sponsored by Safe Kids of Northern New Jersey and the Morristown Medical Center.

Senior Corinne Rasmussen from Valenta’s Portfolio class won second place in the high school division.

Corinne RasmussenRasmussen, her parents, and Valenta were invited and attended a luncheon and reception at the Hilton in Rockaway on Thursday, March 29th where she received her certificate along with some day passes to Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, NJ.

This annual logo contest asks students in grades 6-8 and 9-12 to create a logo in any medium to encourage everyone, regardless of age to wear a helmet when skiing or snowboarding.
