The Roxbury High School Robotics Team, Roxbotix, was a semi-finalist at the Finger Lakes Regional FIRST Robotics Competition Event held in Rochester NY at the Rochester Institute of Technology on March 15-17.

For the competition, the students designed, built, and programmed a robot capable of grasping a milk crate lying on the floor, lifting it 8 feet in the air, and then positioning it on a shelf at that height. The team was competing against 49 other high school teams from New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Canada, Brazil, and China.
