On the evening of Monday, March 5th, the Roxbury High School Jazz Ensemble performed in the first of five preliminary-round competitions held by the New Jersey Association for Jazz Education (NJAJE). The band earned a silver rating and the award for the best saxophone section of the evening. Senior Jonah Nack also received a soloist award for his outstanding vibes feature.
With all preliminary performances now completed, the RHS Jazz Ensemble has earned a spot to compete in NJAJE State Finals on the evening of Saturday, April 28th. The festival will take place at Burlington City High School in Burlington, NJ.
