EMS STEAM Program Dominates the Solar Car Races

Eisenhower Middle School’s eighth graders Tyler Keyes and Justin Pisciutto took first place on May 17th at the TransOptions Solar Car Race at Ridgedale Middle School in Florham Park. The school had six teams of students participate in those races.

The following day saw stellar success again for EMS’ Roxbury STEAM Program as the students swept the podium at the Picatinny STEM Solar Car Races.

Overall, there were 15 Roxbury teams of two participate and 11 of those teams won races to make it to the playoff rounds!

The winning team is heading to the TSA National Convention in Orlando, Florida in the end of June to compete in this year's National Junior Solar Sprint Race.
