During the March 1, 2017, meeting the Lake Hopatcong Foundation updated the Hopatcong Borough Council on major projects that included; Water Levels, Weeds, Trails, 2017 Block Party and several other major topics.
The Morris County Board of Freeholders has announced the 2017 list of county road paving projects that will target nearly 33 miles across 15 municipalities at a total cost of $9 million.
The Lake Hopatcong Elks hosted 8th annual Leap in the Lake – Which has raised over $400,000 throughout its history for the special needs children.
On Sunday, February 26, 2017, the first annual Pizza Wars Awards Ceremony was held at Cambiotti's Tomato Pie Café, who won with 23% of the overall votes. During the ceremony the Lake Hopatcong Foundation received the donations from several different sponsors.
