Lake Hopatcong 9-11 Memorial Swim – Helps 11th Hour Rescue

Today on September 11th, 2016 Flash Marina hosted a memorial open water swim that not only served to remember this date in time, but to also benefit the Eleventh Hour Rescue.

Flash MarinaAs this 9/11 date holds significant memories for all Americans, the joint team of Flash Marina and the Eleventh Hour Rescue teamed up for the fifth year in a row to not only pay tribute, but to also raise funds need to help rescue animals that need a second chance.  Over the last several years this organization has been able to place 10,000 animals to good homes.

Over this weekend event, Flash Marina was packed with seasoned swimmers, and other Hopatcong Lake Residents that just wanted to help out with a good cause.

Who is 11th Hour Rescue?

Eleventh Hour Rescue, based in Morris County NJ, is a primarily VOLUNTEER based, no kill rescue that saves animals on Death Row from high kill shelters. Our dogs and cats are cared for by our compassionate and dedicated team of volunteers and staff.
