The Annual Leap into Hopatcong Lake is a one of the greatest fund-raising events that happen on Hopatcong Lake during the winter. This great event that pits human endurance against raising funds, takes place every February at the Hopatcong State Park and is designed to raise money for special needs kids.
This must attend event will have over 400 local residents jumping into the frigid temperatures of Lake Hopatcong as they join the local Elks in raising funds in this annual event.
Similar to last year the weather is expected to be clear with temperatures in the 30’s and the water will be even colder. But once again that won’t discourage the leapers that were brave enough to take a plunge into the lake, to benefit the special needs kids, and Camp Moore.
This exciting lake event is worth your time as either a spectator or leaper.
