The Lake Hopatcong Foundation will, once again, join the global giving movement, #GivingTuesday in 2019.

This worldwide day of giving on December 3 encourages millions of people to come together to support the causes they believe in and support the communities in which they live. “Giving Tuesday” demonstrates how every act of generosity counts, and that they mean even more when we give together.

This year, your donations to the Foundation during our Giving Tuesday campaign will support our expanded campaign for safety on and around our lake.

Plans for 2020 include providing more signage on the lake (reminding boaters about DUI laws for boaters), creating a series of Lake Hopatcong-specific safety videos, offering more safety classes, and continuing our partnership with the NJ State Police and Morris County Sheriff’s Office for added weekend coverage on the water. We not only want to protect our lake, but we also want to protect all those who use it.

Please help us accomplish our 2020 goals with your Giving Tuesday contribution on December 3.

Giving Tuesday opportunities

By making a donation through our #GivingTuesday campaign, you can…

1. Win a Recreational Boating Safety Kit

For each $25 donated to the LHF through our #GivingTuesday campaign, donors will be entered into a drawing for a complete safety equipment kit for the recreational boater. The kit will include a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, basic tool-kit, horn, throwable personal flotation device and more.

2. Meet and Greet by Morris County Sheriff

Those donating $250 or more will receive a special invitation to a meet and greet by Sheriff James M. Gannon, Sheriff of Morris County, and his deputies. You will get to personally meet and talk with them in a one-hour reception prior to a presentation on their role in the safety of our lake.

3. Become a Star!

If you are able to donate $1,000 or more, you (or someone of your choosing) will be invited to be part of our Lake Safety videos that will appear on YouTube, on our website, and at programs presented by the Foundation. Previous acting not required!  A fun experience that could be the start of a new career!

Double your impact

Last year, we raised more than $10,000 through our #GivingTuesday campaign.  This year a generous donor will again match up to $10,000 in donations through our #GivingTuesday campaign. Make your contribution go twice as far by helping us attain the full amount of this matching gift!
