Tom Lentine of Byram leads a very busy lifestyle that involves lots of Business Travel, and he is in the process of moving into another home. Regardless of his schedule, Tom has time for Lake Loop 2019, one of his most favorite rides.
“I always have time for the Lake Loop as it’s a very scenic ride with the rolling hills – it’s just special – it’s a nice ride. The more you do it, the easier it becomes, and that makes each year that much better.” Stated Tom who is going on his fourth year. “It’s a great excuse to get your bike tuned up and start enjoying the ride to stay in shape – best way to enjoy your time and stay in shape.”
Tom lives by the motto, “You can never have too many bikes.” This means that in his limited recreational time, Tom will be on his favorite road bike, or dirt bike or his stationary winter trainer in his home. “
Three Things that make the Lake Loop Special for Tom:
20 Mile Ride: “I choose the 20-mile ride since I like to ride with Friends and Neighbors who are not regular cyclists. The ride has the best scenery, rolling hills and great views of the lake. There are some fantastic stops along the way with food and drinks to help you recharge. Overall the difficulty is not that hard, with only a couple of steep inclines that are very short.”
“I like that the Lake Loop isn’t timed, as it removes the pressure and adds to the fun of the ride. Additionally, "nothing good would come from me trying to race someone.”
After Party: “My wife, Maureen, does the Walk/Run event, and we meet up afterward, relax and talk to friends. They have a lot going on with the Live Music, Beer Tent, and the VIP area. We get a great feeling of accomplishment after our events, which adds to how special this day is – It’s all for the fun of it!”
Support for Lake Hopatcong Foundation: “As a local resident, I know that we can’t take Lake Hopatcong for granted. The foundation does an awful lot of things for our lake in the areas of Political, Financial and Support It’s just a great organization. We need to do anything possible to support them.”
