On Tuesday, July 23, 2019 the NJDEP followed through with testing in more areas to see if sections of the lake could be opened. The widespread testing didn’t deliver the news local residents were looking for, so therefore the minor swimming at your own risk remains in effect.

This DOES NOT MEAN that the lake is closed, as you can Boat, Fish, Canoe and Kayak. The NJDEP just recommends that you minimize your exposure to the water.
