On August 3, 2017, about 40 community leaders gathered at the Jefferson House to discuss some of the lake’s biggest problems in the hopes of coming up with some creative solutions.
The format of this year’s symposium involved small-group discussions and a collection of thoughts, ideas, and concepts in order to channel the extensive knowledge and skill among invitees.
Conversations were cultivated around the following topics:
- Weed Initiatives & Alternatives – Improving the Current Situation
- Water Level – What Can We All Agree to?
- Safety – Who Currently Patrols the Lake & How are They Coordinated
- Dredging – Working Together for the Next Major Drawdown
The LHF we would like to thank the Jefferson House for graciously donating the room and refreshments for the 2017 Symposium!
A summary of our findings from the day will be posted in the next week or two… stay tuned!
