What a great opportunity to meet the people behind the Lake Hopatcong Foundation (LHF), in a casual and fun atmosphere.

You have the ability during this night-out to run across Donna Macalle-Holly from LHF, who can educate you on everything you need to know about the Lake, its environment, what’s threatening the lake currently, and what LHF is doing to correct the problem.

On the other hand, you may run across Jennifer K. DeWitt who is handling all of the planning for the biggest party on Lake Hopatcong, the LHF Block Party scheduled for May 13th 2017. She’ll be able to fully brief you, and update you what to expect in this long anticipated event.

Lastly, if you have the chance to meet Marty Kane, don’t mention that you have never been to the Hopatcong Historical Museum, as we’re sure he’ll rush you out of the Night-out to give you a personal tour of the Museum.

The evening is a celebration to enjoy delicious food with 10% of the evening’s food and beverage proceeds from 5pm to 10pm being donated back to the Lake Hopatcong Foundation. Contact Glassers Seafood & Steakhouse for reservations (973) 810-3350.

“This is a restaurant with quite a history on the lake. William Glasser established a general store, pavilion and ice house in 1921 and the pavilion was frequently used for dances and other community activities,” Development Director Jennifer DeWitt said. “It’s apropos that the Lake Hopatcong Foundation would hold a community dinner there today. With a dining room upstairs and a sports bar grill and skee ball downstairs, there’s something for everyone to enjoy that night.”

For more information regarding upcoming events, initiatives and membership, visit www.lakehopatcongfoundation.org.

The Lake Hopatcong Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission of “improving Lake Hopatcong for all, now and in the years to come.”
