After the draw-down last fall, the Lake has shown encouraging signs of the Spring refilling process.
As of today, March 6, 2017 the water level is up to 7.70 feet as measured at the dam. Ideally, we’d like to get close to the 9 feet by the start of the boating season. If this could be accomplished, it would be the first time in the last three years that the lake was at full pool at the start of the season.
While the drought that we are currently under, isn’t a positive thing, it has helped in the fact that the outflow from the lake has been dropped to 8 cubic feet per second [cfs] at the dam, instead of the normal 12 cfs.
So, with a little more rain this spring, let’s hope that we get to 9 feet and the start of a great boating season.
