Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the 4:30 PM performance of Kelly Miller Circus. Mayor Russell W. Felter presents John Ringling North II, great nephew of the famous Ringling brothers, with the "key to the city" when his circus comes to Jefferson. Jefferson was home to Alfred T. Ringling, one of the famous Ringling brothers, and his original 1916 mansion still stands to this day and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
On July 8, 2017 Trout Unlimited Fred S Burroughs/North Jersey Chapter will again be hosting the annual youth fishing derby in conjunction with Jefferson Township's "Jefferson Fest - Food Truck Festival, Concert, and Fireworks", formerly known as "Jefferson Day".
Saturday, July 8th will usher in a new era in Jefferson Township as the 30 year old Jefferson Township Day event becomes the new Jefferson Fest – Food Truck Festival, Concert, and Fireworks celebration on the fields of the Jefferson Township High School at 1010 Weldon Road, Milton/Oak Ridge.
Jefferson Township: Commemorative Walkway Engraved Pavers Available
In order to maintain the “Walk of Pride” at the Jefferson Township Gazebo, the Jefferson Arts Committee offers engraved pavers for sale at a cost of $50 each. The bricks may be engraved with a maximum of three lines of 15 characters each (including spaces). Personalized paver bricks are 6” x 9” and are used to create a commemorative walkway to and around the Gazebo, which is located at the Jefferson Township Municipal Building complex, 1033 Weldon Road.
To order a paver to commemorate an anniversary, a birthday, graduation, “in memoriam”, in a company name, as a thank you, in a family name, etc, please complete the form available on www.jeffersonarts.org(upper right-hand corner: Registration Forms) and mail it with a check made payable to “The Jefferson Arts Committee, Inc.” to: The Jefferson Arts Committee, Inc., Attn: Gazebo Committee, P.O. Saturday, July 8th not only will mark the date of the new and exciting Jefferson Fest – Food Truck Festival, Concert, and Fireworks event but also the date of the 13th annual Irish Road Bowling Contest.
The Jefferson Arts Committee’s Memorial Scholarships were presented on June 8 by JAC President Carol Punturieri to Matthew Schlomann and Rachel Dorrothy at the 2017 Jefferson Township High School’s Senior Awards Night ceremony.

Kelly Miller Circus coming to Jefferson Township fills void left by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. John Ringling North II, was born into the most famous of the circus families. He is trending online, on HBO and on PBS specials and he owns the Kelly Miller Circus.
The new Jefferson Fest – Food Truck Festival, Concert, and Fireworks event is replacing the traditional Jefferson Township Day that ran its course for 30 years; out with the old and in with the new and food trucks are an essential part of this fresh approach to a township wide celebration.
