That’s the encouraging news from the latest Uniform Crime Report (UCR) of the New Jersey State Police. The UCR tracks crimes by municipality and county in seven different areas: murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny-theft and motor vehicle theft.
The Jefferson Township Museum, also known as the George Chamberlain House, will have an open house on Sunday, May 7, 2017, from 1 to 4 pm. Admission is free. Costumed docents will be available to talk about this Victorian home. The theme of this month’s exhibit is “Pteridomania: The Victorian Fern Craze.”
On July 8, 2017 Trout Unlimited Fred S Burroughs/North Jersey Chapter will again be hosting the annual youth fishing derby in conjunction with Jefferson Township's "Jefferson Fest - Food Truck Festival, Concert, and Fireworks", formerly known as "Jefferson Day".
The Jefferson Township Historical Society will hold its spring meeting on Monday, May 8 at 7:30 pm in the Riker Room of the Jefferson Public Library, 1031 Weldon Road, Jefferson, NJ. New members are welcome.
