If your child loves to play with their hands, build structures, devour a computer, and learn all about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), sign them up for Summer STEM Institute (SSI).

A new bus route will allow residents from Jefferson Township and surrounding areas to participate in this exciting and innovative program. The bus will pick up and drop off from Robert F. Drummond School located Jefferson during the week of July 10.

The SSI in Cedar Knolls offers fun, co-ed programs for youth entering grades 1 – 6. Children will work in teams, meet new friends, and perform hands-on experiments that make STEM come alive. The SSI program has been designed and vetted by STEM educators and professionals to be fun and age-appropriate. Hands-on activities help students learn the academic concepts behind the experiments.

The program will be held for five weeks at the local Boy Scout headquarters in Cedar Knolls beginning July 10.
