Jefferson Township officially ushered in the 2016 Christmas season this weekend with the phenomenal 11th annual Christmas in the Village celebration.

It took months in the planning, and a lot of coordination by the Jefferson Arts Committee, but thankfully Santa, the Reindeer and everyone else arrived on schedule. As it is our understanding that North Pole flights can be somewhat unpredictable.

As always, if you’re in Jefferson or travel locally to attend an event, you and your family are always in for a treat, as they don’t disappoint on the level of excitment, entertainment and community spirit.

This weekend there were over 30 different events in the village that covered everything from vendors that offered hard to find Christmas gifts, to historical tours of the local area.

Since the real Santa came all the way from the North Pole for this event, it understandable that there was standing room only at Camp Jefferson complex to meet Santa. While the families waited, everyone had the ability to craft their Christmas wishes, complete a personalized Santa letter and mail it through the outgoing North Pole mailbox just outside the door.
