Jefferson Township: Jefferson School District will be participating in the BE THE LIGHT MOVEMENT! We will be illuminating the stadium lights every Friday night at 8:20 PM until the end of the school year.
The lights will go on for 20 minutes and 20 seconds in recognition of the class of 2020. The scoreboard will also read a score of 20 for home and 20 for visitors.
In an effort to adhere to social distancing guidelines and the Governor’s Executive Orders prohibiting group gatherings, spectators are not permitted on school grounds. Instead, we will be streaming this live through the National Federation of High School Sports network and Instagram, @jthsathletics. The live feed can be accessed through the NFHS website and mobile APP.
Stay FALCON STRONG!!!

More about the BE THE LIGHT MOVEMENT:
High schools across the nation are participating in the “Be the Light” movement, which has gained popularity across the country as a way to honor spring sports athletes who have lost their season because of the worldwide health crisis. Lights are being turned on at football stadiums, baseball fields and other outdoor sports facilities, shedding light and remembrance on an otherwise dim reality.
In addition to physically lighting stadiums, arenas, pools and theaters, schools and districts are asking that their communities, as one district put it, "be the light to someone every day during these difficult times."
