Mayor Eric Wilsusen of Jefferson Township sounded off recently on the fact that Jefferson Township Public Schools stand to lose 2.2 million in state aid for the 20-21 school year, with more cuts coming.

“If you care at all about our town and its schools, please come out!” Stated Mayor Eric Wilsusen, on his Facebook page.

While all of the School Districts in the area, stand to lose considerable funding under the S2 State plan, Jefferson Township is the first in the area to take the fight to the next level.

What Jefferson Township has Organized:

Join us on Tuesday, March 3rd in the JTHS Cafeteria from 6-7:30 pm to write letters expressing your concerns regarding S2's rollout.

For your convenience, we will have sample letters, addresses & supplies ready for you.

We will also do the mailing.

The Support Our Students (SOS) coalition has started a concentrated effort to let Governor Murphy know how critical funding for our schools is. Please consider calling Governor Murphy's office at 609-292-6000 or emailing him at nj.gov/governor/contact/ to express your concerns regarding S2’s rollout. We can also come together as a community and voice our concerns by writing letters to the Governor, Senators & Assemblyman involved.
