Matt Johnson; Jefferson Township High School (Oak Ridge, NJ)
“The reason for his success is due to hard work, loyalty to the program, and his best attributes; intelligence and character,” exclaims Head Coach Gerald Venturino about star student-athlete Matthew Johnson. Between earning three varsity letters, starting as quarterback and acting as a kicker as well, all while keeping a 4.15 GPA and a 1220 SAT score, Johnson is a perfect example of work ethic and leadership. Johnson’s goal is to finish in the top 20 students in his class and proceed to play sports at the collegiate level. Coach Venturino also exclaims, “I can’t stress enough how special Matt Johnson is; kids like this don’t come around often.”
