The Jefferson Arts Committee’s Gazebo Committee is pleased to announce that The Symphonics will appear in the 2019 free summer concert series on Friday evening, August 23.

The show will be held in the beautiful Victorian gazebo located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex, 1033 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ beginning at 7 pm and is the last concert in this year’s series.

The 4-5-piece band performs a variety of music from the 1940's thru today including Big Band, Motown, Oldies, Swing, Show Tunes, and Ballroom.  They have extensive musical backgrounds spanning several decades; and as they are old friends and singing buddies, they let their audience experience the original spirit, craftsmanship and exuberance of the vocal group art form. Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort; and non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions. In the event of the threat of inclement weather or such weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the air-conditioned Jefferson Township High School auditorium, 1010 Weldon Road.  For information and updates, call 973-697-2032 or 697-3828, log on to www.jeffersonarts.org or www.jeffersontownship.net

What a great way to end the week and wind down for the weekend. Remember, dancing and singing along is always encouraged at these summer concerts; and free-will donations are always gratefully accepted.
