According to reporting from the NJ Herald, Robert A. Davis, 36, Sarah E. Heller, 32, and John E. Sullivan, 28, all of Lake Hopatcong, and Ashley J. Socha, 28, of Dover, were charged with shoplifting and conspiracy to commit shoplifting.

On Wednesday, Jan. 9, Byram patrols responded to a shop-lifting complaint at the ShopRite on Route 206 north in Byram.

Upon review of the surveillance video in the store, police determined that four suspects had acted in concert to shoplift several hundred dollars worth of merchandise by leaving the store without paying. Police did not identify what items were stolen.

Heller, Sullivan and Socha were released pending mandatory court dates. Police said Davis was lodged in the Sussex County Jail on additional credit card fraud charges out of Sparta. He has since been released, according to court records.
