At this time, the Jefferson Township Recreation Department is seeking qualified individuals for staff positions at the 2018 Camp Jefferson Summer Day Camp beginning on Monday, June 25 through Friday, August 17.  

The facility is located at Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ.   • Part-Time AFTER CARE AIDE/COUNSELOR (18+) for 12 noon to 6 pm shift Monday to Friday at summer camp and available weekdays June 25 to August 17 with 7 days allowed off (w/o pay). 
     
  • CERTIFIED LIFE GUARDS (18+) for summer camp waterfront, available M-W-Th-F from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm June 25 to August 17 with 7 days allowed off (w/o pay).  
     
  • Part-Time GENERAL CLEANING PERSON (21+, experience preferred and new applicants only) for 2 to 6 pm Monday to Friday at summer camp and available weekdays June 25 to August 17 with 7 days allowed off (w/o pay).
      
  • CAMP PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER (18+) 4 to 5 days per week (Monday through Friday) from 9 am to 3 pm June 25 to August 17 with 7 days allowed off (w/o pay).  Would be responsible to photograph/videotape activities on off-site trips as well as on site in order to produce individual DVDs to be used in advertising and a camp video at the end of the season. Must have own good quality camera and editing equipment.    
     
  • SAFETY MONITOR (18+) 3-5 days per week (Monday through Friday) from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm June 25 to August 17 with 7 days allowed off (w/o pay).  Will monitor entrance of vehicles and people, patrol property and access points, be alert to non-authorized individuals on the property, collaborate with the camp directors and office staff, handle camper discipline situations, write incident reports and a log, handle weekly bus evacuations.  Candidate must be polite and have an approachable manner, be alert and observant, possess good communication skills, talk with children in a calm and relaxed manner. Knowledge of ALICE preferred.
