Jefferson Township Fire Company No. 1’s firehouse at 162 Milton Road will be transformed into The Village Marketplace with 18 arts, crafts, and merchandise vendors during The Jefferson Arts Committee’s 12th annual Christmas in the Village event on Saturday, December 2 from 10 am to 4 pm.  Located in the historically designated Village of Milton in the Milton/Oak Ridge section of Jefferson Township, admission is free as is parking.

Golf for Beginners & Intermediates offered by Jefferson Township Recreation Department

The Jefferson Township Recreation Department is offering beginner and intermediate golf lessons at Bowling Green Golf Club to students 6 to 14 years of age and students 15 through adults beginning in late April. The program will be taught by Head Golf Professional Sean Roeser and Assistant Golf Professional Derek Bishop at the facility located at 53 Schoolhouse Road, Milton/Oak Ridge.

There will be six Junior Level 1 Beginners Basics lessons for 6 to 14 year old students on Sundays beginning on April 23 and running through June 11 for a 30 to 45 minute session (no classes on May 14 or May 28).   The 6 to 9 year old group will meet at the golf course at 3 pm, and the 10 to 14 year old group will meet at 4 pm.  The cost is $70 per student.

There will also be six Adult Level 1 Beginners Basic lessons for students 15 years old through adults on Saturdays for a 45 to 60 minute session beginning on April 22 and running through June 3 at 4 pm (no class on May 27).  The cost is $100 per person.

Intermediate level instruction is also available for 7 to 14 year olds in Level II Intro to Playing lessons on Tuesdays at 5 pm starting April 25 and running through May 30 at a cost of $70 for six 30 to 45 minute sessions.

Students 15 through adults can take Intermediate Level II Intro to Playing lessons on Saturdays at 5 pm beginning on April 22 running through June 3 (no class on May 27) at a cost of $100 for six 45 to 60 minute sessions.

If you need golf clubs, you must indicate that during your online registration when asked, and Bowling Green will provide them for you.

Registration for this program is online -- The Jefferson Township Recreation Department transitioned to an online registration system through Community Pass in September 2016. Log on to http://register.communitypass.net/reg/index.cfm and follow the prompts to log in if you already have an account or to set up your own personal account first in the name of an adult and if applicable “Add Child”, register and pay for this program being sponsored by the Jefferson Township Recreation Department.  You will automatically receive an email confirmation after you register and make your payment.

If you experience difficulty in registering online, you can log on to www.jeffersontownship.net, click on the “Form Center” link on the left side of the home page, and scroll down to the Recreation Department to find “Community Pass Online Registration Instructions” with step-by-step directions for registering online through Community Pass.  If you need further assistance, please contact the Recreation office at 973-663-8404 x4 or cpunturieri@jeffersontownship.net for assistance. 

You will be using your personal Community Pass account to register for all Jefferson Township Recreation Department activities including but not limited to exercise classes, Recreation Department-sponsored sports, Jefferson Striders, Mt. Creek Ski Club busing, bus trips, Teen Scene, Camp Jefferson Summer Day Camp, etc. so remember your log in and password.
