The Jefferson Township Police Department continues to set a high standard in reaching out and connecting with the community that they serve.
The Jefferson Township Museum, also known as the George Chamberlain House, will have an open house on Sunday, May 7, 2017, from 1 to 4 pm. Admission is free. Costumed docents will be available to talk about this Victorian home. The theme of this month’s exhibit is “Pteridomania: The Victorian Fern Craze.”
Jockey Hollow was used as a winter encampment by the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War from December 1779 to June 1780. It is located in Harding Township, Morris County, New Jersey and is now a contributing site of the Morristown National Historical Park. Kids can even try thier hand at firing a Musket!
The Jefferson Township Historical Society will hold its spring meeting on Monday, May 8 at 7:30 pm in the Riker Room of the Jefferson Public Library, 1031 Weldon Road, Jefferson, NJ. New members are welcome.

The Junior Women's Club of Jefferson Township is holding the annual town-wide garage sale event May 20 & 21st. We have changed it up a little this year. In lieu of a map we will have a detailed list grouped for every section of our town AND you get to pick if you would like to have your sale on Saturday, Sunday or both days!
