Hundreds of local children and their families were treated to an early visit from Santa at the annual Holiday party sponsored by the Sussex County Family Success Center at Project Self-Sufficiency. 

During the December 4, 2019 meeting of the Hopatcong Borough Council and the Mayor recognized the Hopatcong Woman’s club for their many achievements in enhancing the lives of others through their volunteer services.

Washington, DC – Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) announced today that Hopatcong Borough received a $89,837.54 grant from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of Rural Development to repair and rehabilitate housing in the borough.

During the December 4, 2019 meeting of the Hopatcong Borough Council the Mayor recognized the award winning Hopatcong Chiefs Marching Band with the following Proclamation that named today as Hopatcong Chiefs Marching Band Day in the Borough of Hopatcong.

Senator Oroho, Assemblymen Space and Wirths announced transportation grants worth $5.3 million, with Hopatcong Borough gaining $135,000 for Transportation and Road Work. The grant is targeted for the Broadway & Monroe Trail Resurfacing Project.
