This small army of 26 Scouts and 13 leaders we call Hopatcong Pack 88 can always be seen working across the town on Trash Clean-up, Planting Trees and Flowers, and assisting in Community Events. And now they are expanding their successful Lawn Flag program into a yearlong event.
The community response has been outstanding for the individual placements, as on the July 4th holiday Hopatcong Pack 88 placed 496 flags!! They even had community members donate flags for our police department.

How your Subscription Helps Pack 88:
Our fundraising helps our Scouts help the community. It pays for their registration fees, uniform costs and can even send them to camp for free! Pack 88 works closely with the Hopatcong Environmental Commission to keep Hopatcong clean. So, by supporting Scouting through our fundraising you also help a young boy learn the value of community service and being a good citizen. 100% of all proceeds go to our Scouting program to benefit our Scouts (boys K-4).
Hopatcong Pack 88 in Action:
We just did a town-wide clean up on July 11th to celebrate Scouts Trash the Trash Day. This is an international Scouting Messenger of Peace project. Cub Scouts cleaned the shopping center lot at Walgreens as well as the Hopatcong Community Garden and the Senior Center. We do about 4 to 5 cleanups over the summer alone. It is always the Pack's priority to help in the community in any way we can. This not only cleanups, but food drives for the community center, our Toys for Tots drive over Christmas and caroling for the elderly in senior living centers.
We always welcome new Scout families, so if you know anyone interested in joining our Pack, please ask them to email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
