The Borough of Hopatcong opened to the public on May 13, 2020, with strict guidelines on entering into the building, mandatory social distancing, and literally creating stations for each step you can take on your destination within the building. This article provides a brief update based upon our visit to Borough Hall.
While it sounds like a cumbersome process, it actually operates very smoothly each step of the way, as we entered the building, judged where we needed to go, and selected our path, stopped at each step, and moved forward to the next position.
Here’s What We Found at Hopatcong Borough Today:
All new signage is now in place with permanent markings on the floor, and with each department having the correct safety protection in place. Also, each department is now fully staffed internally to handle both inperson and remote operations.
Entering into the Building:
Make sure you read the new sign at the opening of the building, as it will provide helpful information at the start of your journey.
Internally, it could not be easier to understand where to stand to maintain the right social distancing within the well laid-out lobby (think of a movie theater). Additionally, between the directional arrows and helpful signs, it seems a little easier with all the guidance.
