Hopatcong Lake Regional News checked in with Assistant Superintendent Joseph Piccirillo Wednesday on how the Hopatcong School District is doing with the remote learning and support services.
The highlights of Assistant Superintendent Piccirillo’s response included the status of the remote learning, lunch delivery services and the new development of a hashtag to follow the student's progress.
Everything is going well, this is our third day of online instruction and the district has been receiving some wonderful feedback from parents, students, and teachers.
- Students in grades PK-3 have been completing packets that were distributed last week
- Students in grades 4-12 have been completing all of their work through Google classroom.
Services / Support:
The District has been delivering over 300 lunches to families receiving free and reduced lunch each day and have had a great response from the staff willing to help with the deliveries.
Follow the Progress:
Assistant Superintendent Piccirillo, who is always big on technology added, “We have started a hashtag on social media to follow our students and teachers working from home called #HOMEpatcong. We have been receiving a great response and I have been receiving photos all day long of students working on their school work from home.
