The Lakehouse Restaurant on Lakeside Blvd. in Hopatcong has unfortunately closed its doors for good this week. This comes just weeks after Lakeside BBQ across the street also closed for good.

The Lake House was started by Terry Holleran in 2015, who purchased the building for $800,000 and poured over $200,000 into the remodeling, according to sources close to the Restaurant. He also hired their head chef Luigi, who was the eldest son of a restaurant owner in Amalfi Coast in the province of Salerno Italy - a legendary culinary tourist destination.

The Lakehouse. By NY metro area standards was a premium neighborhood restaurant and bar that served appetizing homestyle family fare. The Restaurant was very popular with the locals and served as Hopatcong only higher-end full-service Restaurant.

At the time of this publication the future of the building, or if another restaurant will be opening in this location is unknown.
