Do you have old outdoor holiday lights and decorations you are no longer using? Now you can donate them to the Holiday Light Exchange to make sure everyone has a chance in the upcoming Hopatcong Christmas Decorating Contest.

If you have old outdoor holiday lights and decorations that you will be not using in the future, we’d like to refurbish them and give them to other families in Hopatcong to make sure everyone has a equal chance in the upcoming the Hopatcong Christmas Decorating Contest.

“We understand that decorating your home for the contest can get expensive and might be a barrier for some people in entering the contest. Therefore, through the holiday light exchange we can recycle the refurbished lights to anyone that needs them.” Stated contest mastermind Rich Chiarella.

How it works:

  1. Donate Gently used outdoor decorations
We will provide curbside pickup of the donations at your home, or you can drop them off at Accurate Pest Control: 143 Landing Rd Suite A, Landing, NJ

  2. Decorations are Refurbished
Our team of Santa Elf’s will test and refurbish the lights and decorations getting them ready for the exchange

  3. Decorations are Exchanged
The refurbished lights and decorations are than given to another Hopatcong Resident who may need them to complete their Holiday Decorations for the contest.

If you are interested in donating your holiday lights and decorations, or you need to tap into the exchange for decorations, please contact editor@mylakenews.com or call Jim at 973-288-1865.
