Wendy Ciardi from the Hopatcong Pound Project Safehouse held a very creative Paint and Sip fundraiser on October 23, 2019 at Pavinci Italian Grill to a group of budding artists.
The event featured UPTOWN ART from Denville, which led the group through the development of their masterpieces step-by-step. “This is the first time I’ve ever done something like this. At first, I was a little fearful of the outcome, but the two teachers from UPTOWN ART were outstanding, I’m confident they could get a masterpiece out of a six year old.” Stated Wendy
The proceeds from the fundraiser are going towards operating expenses and supplies for the Hopatcong Pound Project Safehouse. Wendy explained, “We’ll be using the money to help pay Vet Bills and Medical supplies, and for operating costs. It’s amazing the amount of supplies we go through in one day, like 30 lbs. of cat litter.”
Big Plans for the Future:
In asking Wendy Ciardi about what is coming up in the future, she revealed. “I’m working on an exciting new business plan for 2020 that will evolve the current Hopatcong Pound Project Safehouse non-profit into a new special form of compassion, that involves expanding to 10+ acres.”
Stay tuned in 2020 for more exciting information on this growth plan!
