The Superintendent for Hopatcong School system couldn’t resist jumping in to help feed the Hopatcong Marching Chiefs during their Marching Band Camp this week.
While it’s still vacation for most students, the hardworking Hopatcong Marching Band has a special camp this week in preparation for the next school year. To help feed the band during camp, Mr. Zimmermann reached out to the Parent Booster Organization for donations and help to prepare the meals to help offset the cost.
Hopatcong School Superintendent Mr. Arthur DiBenedetto caught wind that these students would be working 12 hours a day (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM) throughout the week, and jumped in to not only supply the food, but to also cook his famous Italian Sausage Sandwiches, in place of the standard hot dog night.
He also made a chicken alternative for those that don't eat pork. Although students were still given the choice of hot dogs as another alternative, most students, staff and parent volunteers gratefully enjoyed the delicious famous Italian Sausage Sandwiches as the first meal of our season!
