This past winter, Hopatcong's Hudson Maxim School Kindergarten and first grade students had the opportunity to participate in the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Math-A-Thon fundraiser.

The event was coordinated by Kindergarten teachers Miss Adams and Mrs. Bisignani. The students were motivated to solve math problems to raise money for St. Jude.

The students had fun earning prizes while helping kids who are battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases. On Monday, May 7th, Kindergarten students, John Borgia and Aubrey Wester were invited to the Board of Education meeting to be recognized as outstanding citizens.

They were awarded certificates for raising the most money. Thank you and congratulations to all of the students who helped make this year’s Math-A-Thon a huge success! We are so proud of the tremendous difference you made.
